First Time Use / Missing Pages

Hi I'm excited to have found this software but upon my first use with it there seems to be many broken areas.

I'd post my logs but that's one of the broken pages.

The following Admin pages show empty (blank white) pages:

http://127.0.0.1:7134/admin/proxies
http://127.0.0.1:7134/admin/users
http://127.0.0.1:7134/admin/tasks
http://127.0.0.1:7134/admin/logs

serposcope: 2.8.0
java version 1.8.0_151
OSX

Is this software abandoned (that would be a shame)?

Thanks

Re: First Time Use / Missing Pages

Hello,
I don’t know exactly why you have this problem. As you just install the software and don’t have a lot of data I suggest you to delete and reinstall serposcope. The blank white page mean that something wrong happened (with the software and/or your computeur).

The software is not abandoned but I think it’s not the priority for his owner now... We have to face to several problems (unable to add new website, keywords on google-mobile are not working but keywords on google-desktop are ok...etc)

Sorry for my English.

Regards
Jeff

Re: First Time Use / Missing Pages

Thank you for your response. (No worries, your English is very good smile

I read the instructions and the FAQ and did a search in the forum here... What are the instructions for uninstalling?

by the way... I used the command line to look at the logs.  It appears serposcope is looking in my downloads directory, but I moved it from there.  What doesn't make sense to me is I ran the:  "java -jar path/to/file"  from the current location, NOT the downloads folder.  Strange.

I don't know anything about java in CLI.

How do I stop serposcope from running and restart it?

sudo service serposcope restart   is resulting in "command not found"

Thank you

Re: First Time Use / Missing Pages

If I don’t do mistake you are running serposcope on MAC and Am not used to work with OSX.
My serposcope is on a VPS server(Ubuntu) who is a lil’bit different.

If you have access to the Admin page (http://127.0.0.1:7134/admin ) you can click on Sysconfig. Here is all your serposcope config, maybe you could find a solution there.

Am sorry if I cannot help you and find a solution.

Re: First Time Use / Missing Pages

Yes, I'm on a mac.
It's strange the docs don't give any advice for start|stop|restart on mac.

I did get things working.  Here's what I did:

I rebooted my machine.
And then restarted Serposcope like:  java -jar /path/to/serposcope-2.8.0.jar
this locks out the terminal window as it runs, you can type but it is not the normal command prompt
To shut down serposcope I press CTRL+C and that kicks me out back into a normal command prompt.

All of those broken pages now work.

I took a look at Sysconfig
Not that I need to, right now, but can the sysconfig be altered?

Thanks again

Re: First Time Use / Missing Pages

Great, can you check your keywords now ?

As I told you I never tried on Mac so I don’t know if it’s the way how serposcope works on Mac, I used my laptop at the begin and then switch to a VPS after few weeks.
