Hi
I am new to serposcope and accessing it by localhost and hope I have set it up right, I have created three groups as want to monitor three different websites and the keywords for each of the three different websites or do I create one group and add the websites and the keywords into the one group
also is there a way to search the positions for the keywords of the three sites automatically like once per day as at the moment, I am going into check ranks and doing it that way
Thank you in advance
Ian

Hi, i use your solution to, we have for each website one group. you can setup in your setting the cron job, this is meaning every day at a specific time it will check your ranks. one time a day is enough. Otherwise you should have some private proxy.

thank you, sorry last one, on your link, I noticed you changed the colours and logo if I remember, what file is it to amend the colours?
also I want to install it on my web server using filezilla, is that easy to do as could not understand the instructions to do that?

Yes we changed some files inside the jar file. because we have public acces for our customers. I really like the tool and try to help at the developers here in the forum (and a donation is planed for next year).
Back to your question.
The easyest way (for me) use a linux based server like: Ubuntu, Centos, Mint IMPORTANT "jdk 8" installed!
transfer the jar file to the home directory like this: /home/your_username/SERP/serposcope.jar
if you use the internal database system of serposcope run this commoand in a ssh terminal from your computer:
type this if you are connected trough ssh:
cd /home/your_username/SERP/
run serposcope permanently:
(java -jar serposcope.jar &)
If you want your own design on it:
i dont give you a tutorial or something else. I just tell you some important things you should know!
7-zip "extract/pack jar file"
notepad ++ "edite code inside jar"
knowhow about: php, html, and css
a logical brain
hope you got it. i had over 8 hours
