Serposcope Installation on DEBIAN

Hello. I tried to install the serposcope_2.4.0_all.deb package on my install of Debian. There seems to be an issue with Java.

root@zero:/home/user# dpkg -i serposcope_2.4.0_all.deb
Selecting previously unselected package serposcope.
(Reading database ... 53289 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking serposcope (from serposcope_2.4.0_all.deb) ...
serposcope: unrecognized service
Setting up serposcope (2.4.0) ...
Adding group `serposcope' (GID 1023) ...
Done.
Adding system user `serposcope' (UID 111) ...
Adding new user `serposcope' (UID 111) with group `nogroup' ...
Creating home directory `/var/lib/serposcope' ...
Can't find JAVA_HOME, java seems not installed on this OS
update-rc.d: using dependency based boot sequencing

root@zero:/home/user# uname -a
Linux zero 3.4.0-cloud #1 SMP Thu May 24 04:54:53 EDT 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux

How to fix this error message. Thank you.
